Fact is usually stranger than fiction. For instance I remember when I was traveling with my parents to Lake Titicaca in the La Paz area when I was a kid. My parents wanted to visit the famous floating islands of the sun. These islands are in the middle of the lake if I remember correctly. They have been inhabited for thousands of years by the same indigenous group. Any way they are called “the Floating Islands” because the are basically floating platforms of smashed down reeds. Whenever the reeds grow up through the platform they are stomped down and help keep the “island” anchored down. Any way my parents were touring about and there I was being me, a little red head running around probably getting into things I shouldn’t of. Apparently the locals thought me to be somewhat entertaining. Then one of the natives went up to my father and asked how much he would take for me. My father states that at the time he did not know quite what to say. But from the way things have gone his asking price was too high because I left the island with Mom and Dad. Of course I was forever teased by my parents all through adolescence that my father should have taken what ever that man was willing to offer. Apparently they wanted to mix my genetic makeup in with their own. I often think about it and start doing calculations. I would have been breeding age around 14, I am 33 now that would mean that my oldest children would be in their late teens. Kind of crazy how different my life could have been. Chiropractic would be the last thing on my mind. (True story, ask Tammy if you do not believe me)
So much for being an alpha male. They say in some types of animals the alpha males need to be separated or else they will kill each other. My father is definitely an alpha male. I have wondered if that is why I left for boarding school when I was 11. I went back home for a short year after that to see what it was like living at home as an adolescent. Like I said this lasted a year then I decided to leave again for my own sanity.
